J. RICHARD CARROLL LEADERSHIP AWARD

This award may be presented annually by the TIAAA to honor the legacy and service of TIAAA Hall of Fame member, J. Richard Carroll. Richard was a founding member of the TIAAA and helped to grow the organization through service, professional development, and by creating a quality athletic administrators organization to support the NIAAA. Deserving recipients demonstrate TIAAA leadership, are innovative, and are committed to the growth of the athletic administrators in the state of Tennessee.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR

This award may be presented annually to an athletic administrator from the state of Tennessee with three or more years of experience as an athletic administrator and who has demonstrated involvement in their school, community, and professional organizations beyond their prescribed daily duties. Deserving recipients act with professional excellence and maintain athletics as an integral part of the total education program. He/She shall administer an exemplary athletic program, using school and community resources and involving as many students as possible.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

This award may be presented annually to an individual or organization in the state of Tennessee, who has served the organization and/or interscholastic athletics over a period of years in an exemplary way with supportive and contributory service. Nominees and awards may be given regionally from the state - East, Middle and West. This recipient does not have to be a member of the TIAAA.
